Saudi Arabia has introduced a brand new “Hajj Without Luggage” service for Hajj 2026, making the sacred journey significantly more convenient and comfortable for millions of pilgrims arriving from across the world.
Under this innovative initiative, pilgrims will no longer need to carry or manage their heavy bags during transit. Instead, luggage will be collected directly at departure airports in their home countries and delivered straight to their hotels in Makkah and Madinah — making the entire travel experience far less stressful and physically demanding.
The service is designed to tackle one of the most common challenges of the Hajj season — overcrowding and long delays at airports due to the sheer volume of luggage being handled. By streamlining baggage logistics, Saudi authorities hope to create a smoother and more organized flow of pilgrims throughout the entire journey.
According to officials, bags will be delivered to pilgrims’ accommodations within 24 hours of their arrival in Saudi Arabia — ensuring that travelers can settle in quickly without waiting around for their belongings.
The project is being jointly supported by Saudi airline Saudia and Saudi Post as part of the Kingdom’s wider efforts to modernize Hajj services through advanced logistics and cutting-edge technology. Authorities expect nearly 1.1 million bags from countries participating in the Makkah Route Initiative to be processed through the new system this year alone.
For Pakistani pilgrims and millions of others making the journey of a lifetime, this new service is a welcome step that will allow them to focus entirely on their worship and spiritual experience — without the burden of managing heavy luggage at every step of the way. 🤲
