Pakistan Railways to Run 3 Special Trains for Eid ul Adha — Check Routes and Schedule

Pakistan Railways has announced the operation of three special trains for Eid ul Adha 2026, making it easier for thousands of passengers to travel home and celebrate the festive occasion with their families.

According to the railway administration, the following special trains will be operated during the Eid period:

Train Route Departure Date
Quetta to Rawalpindi May 24, 2026
Karachi to Rawalpindi May 24, 2026
Karachi to Lahore May 25, 2026

These special trains will stop at several major stations along the way, including Multan, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Rohri, Bahawalpur, Khanpur and Jhelum — ensuring that travelers from different parts of the country can board conveniently without having to travel far to reach a major departure point.

The trains will include economy class coaches along with power vans to ensure passenger comfort throughout the journey. The railway administration has directed all relevant divisions to complete operational arrangements well in advance to ensure timely and smooth services during the busy Eid travel period.

For safety reasons, officials have confirmed that train speeds will be kept within approved sectional limits and will not exceed 105 kilometres per hour at any point during the journey.

Passengers are strongly advised to book their tickets as early as possible, as these special Eid trains are expected to fill up very quickly given the high demand for travel during the holiday season.

The initiative is part of Pakistan Railways’ ongoing efforts to improve services and provide greater convenience to passengers during peak travel periods across the country. ✅
