The Government of Pakistan has launched a free mobile phone repair course exclusively for women, introduced under the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC). The initiative aims to give women practical technical skills, help them find jobs, and support them in starting their own small businesses.
The course will be held at the Government Polytechnic Institute for Women, where participants will receive hands-on training in mobile phone repair and maintenance. The goal is to prepare women for real work opportunities in Pakistan’s growing technology and repair industry.
The course is open to women between the ages of 18 and 40 who have at least completed their matriculation. Interested women can register online through NAVTTC’s official platforms. The last date to apply is May 15.
Officials say this initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to empower women through skill-based education. It is also part of a broader national push to increase women’s participation in technical fields, improve their job prospects, and support their financial independence.
By offering this training completely free of charge, the government hopes to open new doors for women — giving them the skills they need to either find employment or run their own repair businesses and become financially self-sufficient.
