United Bank Limited (UBL) has taken a smart step to make Eid ul Adha shopping more convenient for Karachi residents by bringing its mobile banking unit “Bank on Wheels” directly to the city’s busy Maveshi Mandi. The fully equipped mobile branch is now up and running right in the heart of the animal market, giving shoppers easy access to banking services without leaving the area.
The Bank on Wheels allows customers to carry out all their important transactions on the spot — depositing and withdrawing cash, making payments, transferring money and using other essential banking services — all while they are busy buying their sacrificial animals. The initiative is particularly valuable during the Eid ul Adha season when large sums of money are exchanged between buyers and sellers on a daily basis.
The mobile unit is fully air-conditioned and staffed with trained banking professionals, ensuring that every customer gets fast, secure and comfortable service in what can otherwise be a very hectic environment. The initiative is part of UBL’s broader campaign — “Banking Without Boundaries” — which aims to bring banking services directly to customers wherever they need them the most.
The response from traders and buyers at the Maveshi Mandi has been very positive, with many people appreciating UBL for thinking of their needs during the festive rush. The bank has also announced plans to extend this facility to other key locations across Karachi to support even more customers in the lead-up to Eid.
By taking banking services directly to the people rather than waiting for them to come to a branch, UBL is making Eid preparations smoother, safer and more convenient for thousands of Karachi residents.
