Pakistan and Tajikistan have agreed on a comprehensive three-year roadmap aimed at increasing bilateral trade to $200 million, marking a significant step toward strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries. The agreement was finalized during the 8th Joint Commission meeting in Dushanbe, where officials discussed expanding collaboration across multiple sectors.

The roadmap covers key areas including energy, agriculture, information technology, healthcare, education, tourism, investment, and digital skills development. Both sides committed to enhancing business-to-business engagement, improving market access, organizing trade delegations, and facilitating investment opportunities to accelerate economic growth.

Officials also reviewed progress on the CASA-1000 regional energy project, which is expected to strengthen electricity connectivity and energy cooperation between Central and South Asia. Additional discussions focused on exploring opportunities in oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, and technology-driven sectors through knowledge sharing and joint ventures.

Leaders from both countries expressed confidence that the agreement will boost trade, attract investment, strengthen regional connectivity, and create new opportunities for businesses. The initiative reflects the growing strategic partnership between Pakistan and Tajikistan and their shared vision for greater economic integration across the region.
