Punjab Police has spent more than Rs. 970 million on welfare initiatives for its serving and retired personnel, as well as the families of police employees, during the current fiscal year — a significant investment in the well-being of the men and women who risk their lives to keep Punjab safe.
The funds were utilized across a wide range of welfare services, including financial assistance, medical support, educational aid and other benefits designed to improve the quality of life for police officers and their dependents.
According to official figures, the welfare measures covered grants for the families of deceased personnel, healthcare assistance for injured and ailing officers, and educational support for their children. These initiatives reflect the department’s ongoing commitment to strengthening social protection and financial security for members of the police force and their families across the province.
The investment is being seen as a meaningful step toward ensuring that those who serve in uniform — and the families who stand behind them — are not left without support when they need it most.
