Islamabad and Rawalpindi recorded temperatures of up to 41°C as an ongoing heatwave continued to grip the twin cities, further aggravating the existing water shortage crisis.
The soaring temperatures have significantly increased water demand, leaving many residents facing reduced water supply and prolonged shortages. Authorities have urged citizens to conserve water and avoid unnecessary usage as the intense heat persists.
Meteorologists warn that high temperatures are likely to continue in the coming days, raising concerns about public health, water availability, and increased pressure on civic infrastructure.
