Pakistan Announces Eid ul Adha Holidays for May 26, 27 & 28

Pakistan has officially declared public holidays from May 26 to May 28, 2026 for Eid-ul-Adha, following the sighting of the Dhu Al-Hijjah moon. The announcement was confirmed by the Cabinet Division after the decision of the central moon-sighting committee.

According to official confirmation, Eid-ul-Adha 2026 will be observed on May 27, marking the start of nationwide celebrations across the country.

Three-Day Eid Holiday Schedule Confirmed

The government has approved a three-day public holiday period, allowing citizens to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha with their families and communities.

The holiday schedule is expected to:

  • Hospitality and logistics services

Authorities have advised citizens to plan travel in advance to avoid congestion on roads and overcrowding in transport hubs.

Hajj Preparations Also Underway

During the visit, he inspected:
