Pakistan has launched a special commemorative Rs. 75 coin to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations with China — a heartfelt tribute to one of the most enduring and celebrated friendships in Pakistan’s diplomatic history.
The coin is scheduled to enter circulation on May 25, 2026, and will be available through the field offices of the State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation across the country.
Diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China were officially established on May 21, 1951 — and this special coin has been introduced to honor the remarkable journey of cooperation, trust and partnership that both nations have built together over the past seven and a half decades.
According to details released by authorities, the coin is round in shape with milled edges and is crafted from a copper-nickel alloy consisting of 75 percent copper and 25 percent nickel — a composition that gives it a distinct and durable finish.
The commemorative coin weighs 19 grams and has a diameter of 36 millimetres. Its obverse side features the crescent and star symbol along with the Urdu inscription for the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the year 2026, and the denomination of 75 rupees, beautifully surrounded by decorative wheat motifs.
The special release is a fitting symbol of the deep and growing bond between Pakistan and China — a relationship that continues to expand across trade, infrastructure, defence and regional cooperation, and remains one of the most important strategic partnerships in the entire region. 🇵🇰🇨🇳
