Saudi Arabia has announced that this year’s Hajj sermon will be broadcast in 35 international languages — including Urdu, Punjabi and Pashto — allowing millions of Muslims around the world, and especially Pakistani pilgrims, to fully understand and connect with the spiritual message of Hajj in their own native language.
For Pakistani hajjis who have traveled thousands of miles to perform one of Islam’s most sacred obligations, this announcement is truly special. Being able to hear and understand the Khutba-e-Arafat in Urdu, Punjabi or Pashto will make the experience far more meaningful and spiritually enriching.
The live translations will be made available through digital platforms and official broadcasts to ensure that Muslims across the globe — whether performing Hajj in person or following from their homes — can access the sermon in a language they understand.
Beyond Pakistani languages, the sermon will also be translated into English, French, Turkish, Chinese, Russian, Persian and dozens of other languages as part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to make Islamic teachings more accessible to diverse Muslim communities worldwide.
Authorities say the multilingual initiative reflects the Kingdom’s deep commitment to spreading the message of unity, peace and faith to Muslims of all cultures, backgrounds and languages during the holiest pilgrimage on earth. 🤲
