The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has warned mobile users that SIM cards linked to expired Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) could face suspension or blocking if the documents are not renewed in time.
According to the authority, citizens are advised to ensure that their CNICs remain valid and updated with the relevant mobile service providers to avoid any disruption in telecom services. The move is aimed at strengthening identity verification measures and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
PTA has urged subscribers to renew their expired CNICs through NADRA and update their records with their respective telecom operators as soon as possible.
