Speaker Ghalibaf: Iran’s armed forces ready to respond to any aggression

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has declared that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to deliver a strong and decisive response to any act of aggression, warning enemies that wrong decisions will always lead to disastrous consequences.

“Our armed forces are ready to deliver a well-deserved response to any aggression. Mistaken strategy and mistaken decisions will always lead to mistaken results. The whole world has already figured this out. We are prepared for all options they will be surprised,” Ghalibaf said firmly.

Iranian officials have repeatedly made clear that while Tehran seeks peace and regional stability, it will never hesitate to defend its sovereignty with full force if its red lines are crossed.

Ceasefire Under Serious Pressure

US President Donald Trump said on Monday that the ceasefire with Iran was “on life support” after Iran’s response to a US peace proposal made it clear that the two sides remain far apart on several key issues.

Iran has demanded an end to the war on all fronts including Lebanon, where US ally Israel is fighting Iran-backed Hezbollah. Tehran has also demanded compensation for war damage, an end to the US naval blockade, a guarantee of no future attacks on Iran, and the resumption of Iranian oil sales.

Iran has also firmly asserted its control over the Strait of Hormuz, where it has blocked shipping traffic that normally carries one-fifth of the world’s entire oil and gas supply.

Trump responded harshly to Iran’s proposal, saying: “I would call it the weakest right now, after reading that piece of garbage they sent us. I didn’t even finish reading it.”

The US had proposed ending the fighting first before moving on to more difficult issues such as Iran’s nuclear programme. Tehran, however, defended its position and pushed back against Washington’s conditions.
